HandUP Store Donation Check List

Thank you for donating your reusable items to the HandUP Store. Your generosity helps us offer quality clothing and household items to families who depend on us. Our goal is to sell only what we would use in our own homes. Due to the high cost of trash disposal, there are several items we cannot accept. Please assist us by reviewing the list below.

We have a high demand for good, working, large appliances. Please call to schedule a pick-up if needed. Thank you!

WE ACCEPT THESE ITEMS
IF they are in the following condition:

• New or like new lampshades, free of stains and wear
• Dish sets with 4 or more complete place settings
• Drinking glass sets of 4 or more
• Suitcases with wheels
• Appliances that work
• Flat Screen Televisions that fully work properly. VCRs with A/V cables only
• Upholstered furniture that is free of stains, tears, odors, and pet hair

We CAN accept these items at the HANDUP RECYCLING CENTER:

• Unsellable old clothing - bagged and marked, "baler"
• Metal Desks
• Crutches/walkers
• Typewriters
• Worn Teflon pans
• Exercise machines that are mostly made of metal
• Flat Screen TV's, appliances, and electronics which do not work properly

WE CANNOT ACCEPT:

• Broken/incomplete toys
• Plastic items (furniture, toys, Tubberware, etc.)
• Used stuffed animals
• Child car seats
• Chipped porcelain items
• Cookie/decorative tins
• Oversized table and floor lamps without shades
• Plastic or dried flowers

 WE NEVER ACCEPT stained, torn, or pet damaged upholstered furniture.
