DOUGLAS DIVEN, President
Doug was born in Lancaster, PA, and raised in suburban Philadelphia. Although raised in a minister's home, he did not become a Christian until age 18. He worked for 3 years as a licensed auto mechanic and then felt the call of God on his life. He attended Philadelphia College of Bible for 4 years with a major in pastoral counseling and a minor in family counseling. He then worked full-time for 2 ½ years for Youth for Christ as a Campus Life Director, as well as directing the Sr. High of a 200-member youth group at Gloucester County Community Church. He took his first youth minister position at Eastern Hills Wesleyan Church in Buffalo, NY, being responsible for all children's ministries including ages K-12th grade. In August 1990, he came to Christ Wesleyan Church as the Youth Pastor. He also served as Minister of Outreach through September 1995, developing the CWC Outreach program from scratch. All totaled, Pastor Doug has over 20 years of youth ministry experience. In 2002, Doug felt God pulling him in new directions and in 2003, he established the HandUP Foundation as a community ministry.
