DOUGLAS DIVEN, Founder & President
Over a 20-year span, Doug developed two very successful youth ministries in two churches. Then Doug felt God pulling him in a new direction and in 2003- he established HandUP Foundation as a community ministry. In his years of experience Doug discovered that he was gifted in ministering with the wealthy, middle class, and those in poverty, but his true calling is to those in poverty, crisis and those who are down and out. Doug’s experiences have taken him to Africa, Brazil and Guatemala on humanitarian trips. As an adventurous type, during those trips of planting gardens, building huts, and ministering to the sick, Doug found time to swim in the Amazon, hold venomous snakes, hike the jungle, climb a volcano, and cliff dive. Today he is very community minded as a member of the Board of Susquehanna Valley CASA, and Central Susquehanna Organization. He also contributes to the Leadership Susquehanna Valley program. He has been honored by the town of Milton by being voted to be the Grand Marshall of the Parade whose theme was Hope for the Community. In his spare time he loves to flip houses and hunt. His life is full with a wife and three teens living at home and he believes that his life is truly blessed!

Christy worked as a volunteer at the HandUP Store since it began in 2004. She later took on the role as store manager in 2009 and has continued to work in offering the best selection of quality merchandise to our community. Patti Snyder, Director Renewed Hope Women's Home
Patti comes to HandUP with 22 years of experience in advocacy for victims/survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and other serious crimes. Her love and compassion for others provides the perfect fit for Renewed Hope Women’s Home. Patti biggest desire is to walk alongside with others and witness the transformation in their lives. Some of her favorite past times include spending time with her children and baking cookies with her grandchildren, making meals for her church family and cruising. Her favorite bible verse is Philippians 4:6-7 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
